At the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Council for the New Global South convened a high-level roundtable, in collaboration with the African Union Citizens and Diaspora Directorate (CIDO), the South African Muslim Council, and Faith for Our Planet. The event gathered business leaders, policymakers, and faith actors to challenge aid dependency and advocate for trade, innovation, and regional integration as the foundations of Africa’s development.

On the sidelines of the UN Summit of the Future, Council for the New Global South, in collaboration with Faith for our Planet, the Governments of Antigua & Barbuda and the Republic of Panama, the African Union Citizens and Diaspora Directorate, and the Center for Media and Peace Initiatives, hosted a high-level policy dialogue. This event examined how religious cooperation and interfaith collaboration could catalyze the cultural shifts urgently needed to address the global climate crisis.
